MRP Controller – York (must live local) – Huntington

We are looking for a MRP Controller to join our team at our Head office in York. Once you are fully trained and competent in your role, you can work from home 2 days per week.

Role requires production of accurate, complete, and timely customised data and related information to support the business in the fit out of buildings and ensuring materials are available for completion of the buildings with minimal held inventory.

***We are looking for a candidate with the mindset and experience delivering efficiency improvement and optimisation and the ability to develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally, to deliver the best for Portakabin***.

Role Details:
• Annual salary up to £37,000k dependent on skills and experience
• Annual Bonus of up to 5% dependant on company performance 
• Role based: New Lane, Huntington, York – You must be located within 1 hour of York
• Contract type: Permanent
• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.

In this role you will be required to:

• Collate information from various functions and areas, liaising and communicating effectively with key stakeholders.
• Produce accurate schedule to support resource planning for manufacturing.
• Plan orders for relevant materials through the ERP system, ensuring all KPIs and deadlines are consistently met.
• Create plan outlining activities required to complete building production within capacities of work areas.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Drive implementation of policies and process improvements, including software and ERP enhancements, to ensure systems are fit for purpose.
• Resolve material notifications related to material quality issues.
• Drive compliance to plan holding relevant parties accountable in a collaborative manner

Our Ideal Candidate

• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Educated to A-level, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an entry-level role in supply chain planning.
• Strong experience in driving implementation of policies and process improvements across the business function and projects.
• Basic understanding of supply chain, manufacturing or logistics principles.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability with attention to detail.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project
