We are currently seeking a BSL Communicator Guide (Community Support Worker) to join our fantastic team to take on this rewarding opportunity.
In this role, you will support 2 Male individuals and support them in engaging in activities they enjoy and create meaningful experiences. Your responsibilities may include accompanying them on food shopping trips, attending medical appointments, and participating in social and leisure activities such as bowling, swimming, and visiting the park. Additionally, you will support the individual in making their own choices and deciding how they want to spend their day.
Coseley (5 hours per week)- Supporting an individual with Usher syndrome in accessing the community for social and leisure activities. To be considered for this role, you must have a BSL Level 3 qualification or equivalent to effectively communicate with the individual through BSL and hands-on signing.
Kidderminster (6 hours per week)- Supporting an individual who is profoundly deaf and his communication method is SSE (Sign Supported English).
Requirements for this role:
- A BSL Level 3 qualification or an equivalent to effectively communicate through BSL and hands-on signing.
- A full UK driving licence and business insurance and must be willing to drive your own vehicle (Mileage paid 0.45 pence per mile).
- Experience in Care and/or being confident working in a lone working setting.
