Job Title: Maintenance Painter

Grade: Grade 5
Salary range: £27,319, up to £30,378 (depending on experience)
Working arrangements: Permanent
Full time (35 hours)
Onsite only
May be required to work evenings and weekends, as business demands
May be required to support the on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies
May be a physically demanding role, requiring the moving and lifting of heavy equipment, working at height or within confined spaces, etc.

The Role and Department
You will be part of a multi-disciplined Direct Labour team, within the Estates and Facilities Directorate.
You will undertake all types of internal and external painting activities, including preparation works, to an agreed standard, complying with industry standards, statutory requirements, and relevant codes of practice, in a professional, efficient and customer-focused manner.
You will work across the University Estate, within domestic, industrial and educational buildings. You will be required to use electronic devices for receipt and completion of work instructions.
The Estates and Facilities Directorate provides essential services to Durham University and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the various campuses.
