Job Introduction
We’re looking for an experienced IT Delivery Manager to join our Technology Delivery team in the Technology, Digital and Data division. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering digital and technology initiatives, using agile ways of working and strong team leadership to make it happen.
You’ll be responsible for leading agile delivery squads, running agile ceremonies, and encouraging continuous improvement across delivery practices. To succeed, you’ll need a strategic mindset, excellent people skills, and a real focus on driving successful outcomes.
Role Responsibility
As our new IT delivery Manager, you will also:
- Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Collaborate with Delivery Leads to manage and prioritise delivery backlogs
- Coach and mentor cross-functional teams on agile principles, IT standards, and risk management practices
- Identify and remove delivery impediments to ensure optimal team performance
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding delivery progress, risks, and dependencies
- Support agile tooling and promote experimentation with emerging delivery frameworks
- Contribute to the development of agile communities of practice and organisational learning
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for:
- Experience applying project and program management methodologies, with strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches.
- Demonstrable experience in leading agile teams and managing complex delivery environments
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and actionable information
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage competing priorities, while building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Experience in digital transformation and platform team development is a nice to have
