We are looking for a dynamic individual to work with people across Erewash, Amber Valley and South Derbyshire, who are affected by homelessness. You will be supporting people into appropriate housing and providing follow-on support to help them to sustain their tenancy, promote independence and overcome barriers that may have been the triggers to their homelessness.

You will act as a keyworker, encouraging positive and healthy lifestyles and help people access services that support needs such as drug or alcohol issues and mental health. You will need to be able to work alongside a wide range of agencies and act as the lead in the delivery and coordination of their support.

The successful candidate will be provided with full training but you must be flexible, friendly, proactive, approachable and non-judgemental with a desire to help and change someone’s life. You will also need to have the ability to make on the spot decisions and be ready to deal with challenging situations at times.

You will be required to carry out weekly early outreach shifts per week with the remaining shifts being 9am to 5pm, flexibility is required as the Outreach shifts will be dependent on the need in the geographical area at the time.
