Summary

  • Compass Group is a global leader in food services, operating in over 25 countries with c.600k employees and over $45bn of revenues 
  • This new role is a varied, high-profile position with regular contact with Group Executives, RFD’s & Global Client Directors. 
  • Day to day responsibility for corporate Group FP&A, and oversight of the Global Clients portfolio performance. Acting as a trusted business partner to key internal stakeholders including: Group Finance, Investor Relations, Global Clients, Group Reporting and HR Group Reward
  • Development of 1 direct report, and close working with Global Clients Finance (c.7 FTEs), Group Systems & Data (c.6 FTEs) and the Group Cash Improvement lead

Key responsibilities

 

Group Performance

  • Ownership of insightful analysis / discussion material – including for the Executive Committee and Group Board 
  • Proactive management of group forecasts / scenario modelling, based on understanding of performance, M&A impacts, and risks & opportunities
  • Assist in managing the delivery of HY and FY financial expectations.

 

Investor Relations

  • Work closely with IR team, providing proactive input into results presentations
  • Accurate and timely ad-hoc analysis, both financial and non-financial, to assist with Investor queries
  • Review and understanding of all key external release documents & announcements (incl. ARA, Press releases, IR presentations) 

 

Global Client Partnerships

  • Oversight and understanding of performance trends within the portfolio
  • Partnering to drive data insight on contract performance – including input into development of client dashboards
  • Oversight of reporting processes ensuring accuracy and transparency of KPI metrics & performance

 

Group Reward

  • Work closely with Group Reward team to provide data required for REMCO 
  • Oversight of bonus and LTIP outcomes / targets for regional leadership teams, senior Group Executives & Board
  • Apply judgement to complex issues and the impact on outcomes
  • Contribute to design of bonus schemes, including target setting and ranges

 

Continuous improvement

  • Drive opportunities for simplification to prioritize time expended across team
  • Change management experience – ownership & delivery of projects, including leveraging systems & emerging technologies to optimise processes
  • Drive and embed results by exerting influence, built on strong relationships within peer group and wider community
