Plymouth Day Opportunities provides support to young people and adults with a range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex health needs across Plymouth. Helping people to care for themselves, live independently, make friends and live a meaningful life is at the heart of what we do.

What do we do here? We support Laura who loves cooking and learning new skills, Richard, who is keen on fitness, Shirley who loves going out on the bus and visiting the aquarium- and much more! From pasty making to baking and enjoying our outdoor area and getting out and about, along with educational programmes there’s no shortage of fun to be had together.

Please note – a UK Driving License is desirable for this role.

 Key Responsibilities: 

 - Individual Outcome and Wellbeing: Implement person-centered support plans, promote independence, manage risks, encourage relationships, and ensure legal and best practice compliance. 

– Activity Planning: Develop flexible, engaging activity plans that promote autonomy and personal growth. 

– Health and Lifestyle: Support individuals in maintaining healthy lifestyles and managing their health needs. 

– Communication: Facilitate effective communication and maintain detailed, person-centered records. 

– Medication Management: Oversee medication processes and support individuals in self-administration. 

– Safety and Environment: Maintain a safe, clean-living environment and adhere to health and safety protocols.
