At PA Housing, we’re searching for a sharp, detail-driven Service Charge Officer who knows their way around Excel formulas, financial compliance, and service charge cycles and wants to apply those skills to make a real difference in people’s lives.
This fixed-term role runs until 28th February 2027.

A bit about the role…
- Preparing and analysing year-end statements for variable service charges
- Creating and managing detailed budgets scheme-by-scheme
- Validating financial data and ensuring compliance with legislation
- Investigating financial variances and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues
- Managing month-end financial processes including accruals and prepayments
- Reviewing invoices, correcting errors, and supporting cost recovery
- Liaising with residents and other departments to ensure transparency and fairness
- Managing your own portfolio of schemes, including regular site visits and resident communication

What we’re looking for…
- A strong foundation in financial principles and Excel skills
- Understanding of rent and service charge legislation (or eagerness to learn)
- Experience or interest in managing complex financial data and cyclical workloads
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple schemes simultaneously
- Analytical mindset, precision, and proactive problem-solving skills
- A collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills
