Overview

Job Introduction

We are seeking a commercially driven Finance Business Partner to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide insight-led analysis, challenge assumptions, evaluate opportunities, and help shape the financial direction of the business. This is a high-impact position requiring a combination of technical excellence, commercial acumen and outstanding stakeholder management skills.

You’ll be at the heart of decision-making, partnering with Executive Directors and senior leaders across the organisation to drive performance, challenge thinking, and influence strategy. Using data-driven insight and commercial judgement, you’ll help shape key decisions, ensuring financial implications, risks and opportunities are fully understood and assumptions are robustly tested.

Acting as the go-to expert for financial planning and analysis, you’ll shape multi-year forecasts, optimise operational spend, and proactively support strategic initiatives, anticipating risks and opportunities rather than simply reporting on performance. This role offers real variety, significant exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact across the organisation.

You don’t need to have held a Finance Business Partner role before, but you do need the commercial mindset, analytical capability and ambition to succeed in a strategic, business-facing finance role.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes, ensuring robust financial visibility and alignment to business objectives.

  • Identify and communicate key risks, opportunities and performance drivers, providing actionable recommendations to enhance business outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting and performance management, helping to strengthen financial controls and decision support capabilities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • ACA qualification, ideally trained within a Big 4 accountancy firm or leading accountancy environment.
  • Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and performance analysis.
  • Experience across Transaction Services, providing exposure to complex commercial decision-making.
  • Proven ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments where influencing outcomes and driving business performance are key.
  • Exceptional financial modelling, scenario planning and problem-solving skills.
  • A track record of partnering with leadership teams to support growth initiatives, investment decisions and business activities.

Package Description

  • Discretionary on-target bonus of 10%. Up to a max 20% based on performance
  • 11% pension contribution (3% from you, 8% from us – optional additional matched 3% contributions, e.g. 6% from you, 11% from us)
  • 25 days annual leave. Flexible public holidays and option to buy/sell additional leave
  • Private Medical Cover
  • Car Salary Sacrifice scheme
  • 6x salary death in service
  • Holistic health and wellbeing support package
  • A culture that promotes inclusivity, wellbeing and rewards hard work
