Join Asda’s Estate Team as an Estates Project Support and step into an exciting opportunity. This is your chance to be part of a fast-paced environment within a national retail giant, supporting our Estates team, as we continue our exciting transformation journey.

The role will entail working closely with Estate Managers and Head of Mixed Use Developments to help progress a number of exciting schemes.

In the ever-changing world of retail, every day brings new challenges and opportunities.

  • Support the team on schemes to create value from stores, car parks and major redevelopments. A great chance to make a difference to stores. Can include site visits with the team to have a real feel of ownership
  • Energy – Work with Energy Team and Asset Management agent to agree tenant strategy and make sure the estates has the relevant meters and power details.
  • FM – Point of contact for City FM for matters such as landscaping, title details and essential maintenance
  • Co-ordination & Management of Estates databases / share drive folders across key workstreams.
  • Collation of information required to facilitate Property Projects including inspections, EPCs, title plans, site plans etc
  • Assist Team to ensure that approval meeting material is complete to required standards.
  • Co-ordination of Team Meetings, site visits and tracking actions
  • Cross functional working with some external Stakeholder engagement
  • Landlord Insurer’s – handle landlord enquiries such as requests for building insurance policies and H&S paperwork – liaising with Asda Insurance and City FM as applicable
  • H&S Compliance – in conjunction with our commercial managing agents deal with tenant requests for insurance policies by liaising with Asda insurance and take responsibility for collating H&S certification from tenants e.g. EICR / Gas Safe etc
  • Site Inspections – Arranging landlord’s inspections with the GSM and responding to the landlord’s agent
  • Consents – Assisting with obtaining landlord’s consent for Store Enhancement works can be carried out after initial discussion with the Asset Manager regarding lease terms etc.
  • Support in raising capital funds where needed. Also on boarding new suppliers
  • Managing Agent KPIs –monitor and challenge agents if not adhering to contracted KPIs.
  • Car Parks – support Asda and car parking enforcement companies on parking related queries from GSMs and where applicable work to get ANPR installed on sites where required.

  • Basic Property knowledge desirable
  • A highly motivated curious self starter;
  • Able to work collaboratively with senior colleagues and stakeholders across the business;
  • Able to manage you own workload and performance of external advisers;
  • Strong skills in both Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
  • Strong communication, organisation and time management skills with the ability to be able to prioritise multiple and conflicting workloads;
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to thrive under pressure are absolute requirements.
