We help individuals with mental and physical health challenges to find rewarding employment opportunities to help accelerate their recovery and build a brighter future, using tried and tested methods, working with various clients across many sectors.
A day in this role looks like….
As a Employment Advisor at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Employment Services. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.
A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:
- Reviewing CVs, providing advice on job applications, career choices and improving interview techniques to help people find work.
- Working with clients to support them to disclose their mental health status in the workplace
- Work with clients who are in work to improve their working relationships with their colleagues and managers.
- Build links with employers to ensure that reasonable adjustments are made to help individuals remain in work

What Will You Bring?
We are looking for candidates who bring a combination of passion, expertise, and dedication to the table. To excel in this role, you should possess:

Vocational Support Experience: Proven experience providing employment support, including job search assistance, CV development, interview coaching, and job retention strategies.

Mental Health Employment Support: Skilled in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to transition into or remain in employment.

Knowledge of Employment Law: Strong understanding of employment rights, the Equality Act, and reasonable workplace adjustments for individuals with mental health needs.

Practical Guidance on Workplace Adjustments: Capable of advising employers on legal obligations and implementing effective workplace adjustments to support mental health.

Collaborative Partnership Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with employers, clinical teams, community groups, and other agencies to provide holistic support.

Work Pattern: Flexi (Flexi hours Monday – Friday, Core hours 10am – 4pm, Bank holidays not inclusive in holiday allowance) Full-time, Permanent
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £29,432
