Salary: Commencing at £26,429 with progression to £27,981 per annum

About the Role

As a Document Controller, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our project teams with the management of digital project information, including drawings and documents, using Common Data Environments (CDEs) and associated digital platforms. You’ll ensure full control and compliance of information across all project stages, aligning with both internal requirements and industry standards such as ISO 19650.

Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of key projects, ensuring every piece of information is accurate, up to date, and properly managed. Your knowledge of contract and project information management will help drive efficiency and collaboration across teams.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate closely with project teams to manage a wide range of digital project information, including drawings and documentation, using Common Data Environments (CDEs) and associated digital platforms.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all document-related queries, providing guidance and resolving any issues to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Take ownership of maintaining and managing document repositories on Asite, ensuring that all files are accessible, up to date, and compliant with Luminate Property Development Company (LPDC) and Luminate Education Group (LEG) policies and procedures.
  • Oversee version control, ensuring that all documents have a clear and accurate history of revisions and updates.
  • Ensure all documentation meets required quality standards and adheres to regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Work in partnership with Project Managers, Designers, and Commercial teams to support the timely 

About You

  • Proven experience in a Document Controller role, ideally within construction, engineering, estates, or property development environments.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of working with Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Asite, Viewpoint, Aconex, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of information management standards, particularly ISO 19650, and how they apply across project lifecycles.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring high standards of document accuracy, version control, and compliance.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively across multidisciplinary teams (e.g. Project Managers, Designers, Contractors).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital file management systems.
