What the day will look like
In this role, you will combine your data privacy knowledge with leading projects. You will help maintain and improve our UK data protection framework while supporting colleagues throughout the organization. You’ll work collaboratively with collaborators across risk, technology, cybersecurity, and business functions to ensure privacy is embedded into everything we do.
- Leading delivery of the Privacy Compliance Framework as a project owner, ensuring consistent and effective implementation
- Providing practical data protection guidance and operational support to UK Business Units and Shared Services
- Maintaining and overseeing the register of external data processors operating on behalf of Aon UK
- Supporting the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of engaging privacy training programmes
- Reviewing and updating privacy notices, policies, and procedures to ensure they remain clear, accurate, and aligned with regulations
- Partnering with Data Privacy Champions and stakeholders to build awareness and develop a positive privacy culture
- Advising on initiatives with data protection implications, including conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and advancing risks where needed
- Collaborating with Global Privacy and Security teams to align on standards, tools, and guidelines
- Supporting adoption of systems and capabilities that monitor and enhance compliance across the organisation

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Experience in a Data Protection, Information Security, or compliance-related role, with solid grasp of GDPR and privacy frameworks
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives and deliver outcomes across multiple collaborators
- Good ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical solutions for the business
- Good communication and collaborator management skills, with proficiency in English
- High level of organisation, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Desirable: Experience in the insurance sector, privacy certifications such as CIPP(E), and exposure to incident and breach management.
