About the Role
You’ll work with Microsoft technologies to build high-quality data solutions that empower our colleagues and deliver best-in-class customer experiences. Collaborating with Architects, Engineers, and cross-functional teams, you’ll develop scalable solutions that meet business needs and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and delivering enterprise-level data solutions
- Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders
- Supporting cross-functional projects with Data Science, Digital, and Core Systems teams
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and code reviews
- Ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards
- Creating documentation and supporting the development lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3-7 years in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence
- Experience in regulated environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication across all business levels
- Expertise in Microsoft Data Platform (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
- ETL/ELT pipeline experience
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and modelling
- Proficiency in T-SQL and DAX
- Agile experience (ideally Kanban)
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Desirable Extras:
- Knowledge of mortgage or financial services
- Power BI experience
- Programming/scripting (C#, Python, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with APIs and semi-structured data (JSON, XML)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.)
- Git repository management
- Exposure to PowerShell, Bicep, YAML, Power Platform
Certifications in Microsoft/Azure Data Platform are a plus but not required.
