Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the construction of a nuclear building project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly within the nuclear industry, and possess exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Team Management: Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of engineers, subcontractors, and construction workers to ensure project milestones are met
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to nuclear safety regulations and industry standards
- Quality Control: Monitor construction processes to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with project specifications
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to provide regular updates on project progress
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource optimization
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, safety records, and compliance certificates
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on nuclear projects
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and nuclear safety standards
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in project management software
Candidates for this role must be sole British nationals with a British passport.
