Job Summary
This role provides day-to-day support within the Cladding Remediation Team at Taylor Wimpey. The successful candidate will be part of a team that delivers a unified communications model, prioritising transparency, accessibility, and proactive engagement. Residents are placed at the heart of the remediation process, with clear and timely updates provided throughout the journey. This approach ensures that programme milestones and resident communications are aligned to build trust, manage expectations, and enhance the overall experience for residents and stakeholders.

This role is contracted to our Head Office in High Wycombe, with occasional attendance required for team meetings. Day-to-day, the role can be carried out on a hybrid basis or from a regional office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, investigate, and respond to incoming communications received via the dedicated Cladding Team inbox.
- Ensure all responses reflect the company’s position and values, maintaining a high standard of customer focus.
- Support with incoming MP enquiries, liaising with Taylor Wimpey Group Communications and external agencies to draft timely responses.
- Assist in drafting proactive written communications for affected buildings at key milestones, as required.
- Provide support to internal cladding projects as needed.
- Cover the Cladding inbox during periods of absence or increased demand.
- Deputise for the Communications Manager when required.
- Produce reports to identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement within the communications function
Primary Responsibilities
Written communications
- Provide written responses to enquiries from residents and stakeholders of affected Taylor Wimpey Cladding Remediation Contract.
- To proactively liaise with the wider Cladding Remediation Team, particularly the Technical & production Managers, to ensure accurate and consistent messaging.
- To support presentations, newsletters, and updates for distribution to residents and stakeholders, ensuring they are kept fully informed of remediation progress.
- To support with managing incoming MP enquiries and liaise with TW Group Comms and external agencies to draft suitable responses in a timely manner, within the context of group strategy
- Ensure all communications are clear, accurate, professional, and reflect Taylor Wimpey’s corporate values.
- Engage with external/internal PR agencies regarding high-profile or contentious communications where required.
- Maintain accurate records within the communications function and ensure copies and approvals of responses are stored within project files.
Verbal communication
- Have a calm, clear, and professional approach to communications.
- Proactively liaise with appropriate team members to provide answers to enquiries and ensure follow up responses are provided promptly.
- Ensure all enquiries and responses are accurately recorded within the communications tracker. Â Â Â
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
- Experience in drafting written communications, ideally within a communications or customer service role.
- Strong investigative skills and the ability to respond appropriately to complex enquiries.
- A calm and personable manner, with the ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations professionally.
- Confidence in liaising with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely messaging.
- A professional qualification or degree (preferred), although experienced communicators without formal qualifications will also be considered.
- Excellent Communication Skills, written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Experience in complaint management and case resolution
- Experience in dealing with political stakeholders
- A calm and empathetic manner when dealing with emotive subjects
- Time manangement skills – ability to work to deadlines
- Experience in Microsoft packages
