We’re delighted to be recruiting a Commis Chef to join our team at Restaurant Associates Venues, based at the iconic Salisbury Cathedral. This is a unique opportunity to create memorable food experiences in one of the UK’s most historic and inspiring locations.
This is a casual position where you’ll work closely with and take direction from the Head Chef or Sous Chef, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and friendly kitchen environment. You’ll enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, with the chance to build your skills as part of a passionate team.

What you’ll be doing:

Preparing and presenting lunches, cakes, and sandwiches to a high standard

Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations

Managing stock and ensuring accurate control of ingredients

Identifying opportunities to enhance our food offering

Listening to customer feedback and using it to continually improve our service

Assisting with menu development and contributing creative ideas

Representing Restaurant Associates with pride and professionalism

Maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations

Contract: Casual position

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Shifts: 07:30 – 16:00, 5 out of 7 days

Weekends: Alternate weekends

Evenings: Occasional evening shifts (pre-arranged)
