Commis Chef

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join a professional kitchen team within one of our prestigious workplace catering environments. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills, learn from experienced chefs, and be part of a supportive, high-performing team.

The Role

As a Commis Chef, you will play a key role in delivering fresh, seasonal, and high-quality dishes for staff and visitors. You’ll support daily kitchen operations, learn new techniques, and contribute to creating exceptional food in a fast-paced but friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for staff dining and hospitality
  • Work closely with senior chefs to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Support with stock rotation, deliveries, and general kitchen organisation
  • Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to learn

About You

  • A genuine passion for food and hospitality
  • Some kitchen or catering experience is helpful but not essential — training provided
  • Understanding of basic food safety (Level 2 Food Hygiene desirable)
  • Positive attitude, team-focused, and eager to grow
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive
