About the role

About the Learning & Development Team

We are looking for 2 new colleagues to join our leaning and development team providing excellent customer service and efficient administrative support to our learning offer.  You will be joining a welcoming and friendly team of just over 50 colleagues based at our office in Huntingdon and facilitating learning opportunities across the county. We support the learning and development of thousands of Council colleagues; we manage this through our Learning Management System (LMS) which hosts e-Learning modules and a booking system for in person and virtual training. Alongside this, we support colleagues to complete Apprenticeships and work-based qualifications.

We are passionate about delivering excellence and strive to ensure every interaction colleagues have with us is supportive, welcoming, and empowering, and you will have a key role in supporting us with this.  You will have the opportunity to work flexibly from both home and our main office in Huntingdon or other council locations across the county.

Each post can be up to 37 hours per week, we also promote flexible working and would welcome applications from candidates who would like to explore a work pattern that works well for them.

We are committed to supporting our colleagues to develop and these roles are being advertised with the option to undertake a customer service practitioner apprenticeship that will support you to develop your skills in providing high quality service to customers, including offering advice, guidance and support, meeting-and-greeting learners, and fixing problems.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 5th May at midnight. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 14th May via Microsoft Teams.

For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Emma Parker on emma.parker@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or 07747 476214

About you

You should have good administration skills, the ability to prioritise your workload, show attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills will also be required as you will be liaising with a variety of people across the organisation as well as colleagues from the private, voluntary and independent sector.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and work to deadlines. You should have a methodical, concise and flexible approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Teams, SharePoint, Word and Excel) and be able to use databases where full training will be given.

Don’t worry if you can’t yet fully demonstrate the essential criteria – a willingness to learn and develop is just as important and full training and support will be given.
