Business Development Manager – Nottingham
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and securing new business within the C&I market. You’ll manage your own sales pipeline, conduct site surveys, and produce bespoke quotations, all while ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Commercial & Industrial sector.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Conduct professional site visits, surveys, and produce tailored quotations.
- Manage your sales pipeline and log activity using the CRM system.
- Deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
- Monitor competitor activity and market conditions, reporting key developments.
- Attend sales meetings, events, and networking opportunities as required.
- Ensure all activity complies with Health & Safety and company policies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven sales experience, ideally in a services environment (B2B).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Confident with proposal writing and delivering presentations.
- Strong IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and drive results.
- Tenacious, target-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Experience of selling waste services or in the waste/recycling sector.
- Knowledge of the waste management industry.
