We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Customer and Marketing team at Greggs as a Brand Communications Lead.
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications, this exciting lead role will drive love for the Greggs brand by developing and executing an unrivalled brand communications strategy, building on the success achieved to date and taking Greggs to new heights in brand consideration and purchase intent .
As Brand Communications Lead you play a pivotal role in driving strategic and creative standard of our brand communications across all channels, ensuring Greggs continues to broaden our appeal and mean more to more people. In return we can offer:Â

About the role
What you’ll do
Lead the strategic direction of all brand communications, overseeing planning, creative execution, and activation across multi-media channels. Manage both internal teams and external agency partners to ensure cohesive and impactful brand messaging
- Strengthen Greggs’ position as a leading UK brand by championing our core pillars: Quality, Value, Choice, and Doing the Right Thing
- Identify and pursue innovative collaborations and partnerships that drive brand reappraisal and growth, helping Greggs show up in fresh and unexpected ways
- Build and maintain direct relationships with consumer media outlets and broadcast partners to manage brand reputation and support commercial, brand, and corporate strategies
- Lead day-to-day relationships with PR, media, and brand agencies, ensuring alignment and excellence across all communications activity
- Oversee brand communications budgets, including planning, execution, and performance reporting
- Act as a role model and mentor within the team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and high standards
- Serve as a guardian of the Greggs brand, showcasing the impact of communications through clear performance metrics and storytelling
About you
You will fit right into this role if you:

Previous experience of working within a brand related role, with a focus on the use of brand partnerships and PR channels

Experience working with external partners and agencies to deliver exceptional quality work that resonates with key target audiences

Experience working with and managing significant budgets across channels and agencies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to influence at all levels

Creative thinker with experience of evaluating and executing across channel with a passion for brand and creativity

Have strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, working in large cross functional groups

Strong organisation, planning and analytical skills

Demonstrable communication and influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships

Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail

Have advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams

Are supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good

Desirable: Proven track record in agency management and building strong, productive relationships with media owners and journalists

Desirable: Qualified within Marketing – degree or relevant professional qualification

Desirable: Significant experience working in a mid-senior weight brand/PR/media
