Associate Ecologist
Our Opportunity
Are you a Principal / Associate Ecologist looking for that next step within your career?
You will have the opportunity to benefit from an exciting and diverse workload, delivering high quality support for private and public-sector clients across the UK including exciting infrastructure and renewable energy projects.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Building long-lasting client relationships
- Generating and effectively managing new business with responsibility for financial planning and management
- Managing a wide and varied workload and supervising field staff and survey effort whilst demonstrating technical oversight and sign-off on project output
- Undertaking site surveys, carrying out ecological impact assessments as well as ecological mitigation design and implementation

About You
- Full membership of CIEEM desirableÂ
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- Established Ecological Consultant with extensive project management experience and previous experience within a consultancy.
- Demonstrable experience in leading a team
- Experience in developing good client relationships to secure repeat business and gain new clients. Â
- Experience within bat or other protected species (ornithological or botanical) is essential
- Ability to plan and undertake habitat surveys and to identify indicator plant species and habitat types.
- Full knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation and best practice survey techniques
