Associate Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

Are you an experienced, motivated Senior/Principal Civil Engineer with ambitions of progression and a drive to achieve success?

Are you looking to lead and shape an Infrastructure team, as part of a leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy?

 

We are looking to expand the Infrastructure senior management team and appoint an exceptional Associate Civil Engineer to work across an array of projects within our Infrastructure team in Leicester.

Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for leading major projects, across sectors including residential, custodial, leisure, defence, education, healthcare and heritage. Take a look at some of our projects here: Discover our projects – Pick Everard

You will work to achieve the disciplines’ planned targets through excellent service delivery to our clients, liaising directly with them and where appropriate supporting business development activities (bidding, fee tendering and client interviews) along with team development and training. You will be responsible for the day-to-day control of programming and planning, staff resources and monitoring of team utilisation and preparing and overseeing designs and reports.

About You

The successful candidate will have significant, proven Infrastructure experience, and be passionate about civil engineering.

Our ideal Associate Civil Engineer must have:

  • The ability to lead a team, be forward-thinking, proactive and positive, with an understanding of our key objectives and how to deliver them efficiently.  
  • Experience liaising with clients and managing infrastructure and drainage schemes, as well as bespoke projects that will require practical application of your experience to date.
  • Previous experience writing and presenting reports along with client interaction and work winning.
  • Good knowledge of industry design software packages such as Microdrainge/Infodrainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrable through writing and presenting.

It would be nice for you to have:

  • An ability to build a good rapport with other parts of our inter-disciplinary practice, while quickly developing a clear understanding of our values, culture and business goals.
  • CEng or IEng status.
  • Experience in a variety of different forms of contract.
