The TeamÂ
In Merchandising we are responsible for the planning and stock management of our products across all our channels and markets. We work closely with Buying on how we can maximise our profit by putting the right product, in the right stores at the right timesÂ
The RoleÂ
To put the customer requirements at the centre of our offer. To support the Merchandiser to maximise sales opportunity and profitability, by delivering a commercial level of sales and stock across all relevant regions and channels. To provide support to the Team with daily figure analysis, future sales and range planning, as well as communicating closely with the Buying team in line with the Critical Path. Responsible for managing and developing junior team members, in order to create a high performing team. Deputises in the absence of the Merchandiser / Senior Merchandiser.Â
Your key responsibilities will be to support the Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser in the smooth running of the department as well as maximising sales opportunities and profit potential whilst minimising markdown spend. Â
- Manage the in-season trading of the marketing groupÂ
- Use the range plan sign off and marketing group KPIs to effectively manage in season tradingÂ
- Manage option count by store categoryÂ
- Support Merchandiser with sales stock and OTB forecastingÂ
- Management of new and repeat ordersÂ
- Review performance by profit block/key stylesÂ
- Review and manage line monitorsÂ
- Assess under and over performing linesÂ
- Review and implement markdown and promotional spendÂ
- Mid week and daily sales availabilityÂ
- Undertake ad hoc analysis of performanceÂ
- Complete lessons learnt analysis, end of month, end of quarter, end of halfÂ
- Manage stock flow and stock levelsÂ
- Review actual v planned stock levels on a (minimum) rolling quarterly basisÂ
- Monitor stock commitment and intake phasingÂ
- Weekly commitment and distribution reviewÂ

About You:Â
- Significant experience of working within a similar role at a fast-paced fashion RetailerÂ
- Highly analyticalÂ
- A proactive approach to problem solvingÂ
- Sound commercial acumen and a genuine interest in the Retail marketÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and enthusiasm are also essential to succeed in this role, as is the ability to work to strict deadline.Â
