Salary up to £31,000 depending on experience.

Renishaw’s Spectroscopy Products Division is looking for an Assembly Technician to assist in assembling, testing, and inspecting products to meet specified standards, ensuring a reliable supply that adheres to agreed delivery schedules 

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and inspect products according to defined standards.

  • Follow all relevant instructions, both written and verbal, and report any deficiencies observed in the process.

  • Use skills and techniques acquired during training to work efficiently and with a focus on quality, ensuring that product quality and production targets are met.

  • Inform supervision of any issues that may affect product quality.

  • Build low volume and special assemblies from drawings, without WI’s and feedback any build issues to the design team.

  • Work sensibly and safely at all times, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and reporting any concerns immediately.

Key requirements

  • Demonstratable assembly experience.

  • Good eyesight, with or without spectacles/contact lenses.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity, capable of handling various delicate component parts.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Flexibility to adapt and continuously improve.

  • Confidence and ability to operate machinery, test equipment, and computer systems when necessary.

  • Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting build instructions and technical drawings.

Person specification

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude towards their work ethic. They should have a strong record of punctuality and attendance, be personable, and possess excellent communication skills.
