The post holder will be responsible for learning and assisting with the day-to-day technical functions and operations in the Departments of Physics and Engineering, providing technical and engineering related assistance from within the technical teams.
The post holder will be required to undertake formal training within the Mechanical Engineering Workshops of both Departments with an opportunity to gain further skills from placement within a variety of Research and Teaching Laboratories and also the Electronic Engineering workshops in order to provide technical assistance to support all teaching and research activities conducted within the Departments.
In addition, the post holder will be required to follow an approved apprenticeship training framework of a Mechanical Engineering discipline delivered by an external provider.
