AML Compliance Assistant – Coleshill, England

We have an exciting opportunity for an AML Compliance Assistant to join our team within Vistry Services, at multiple locations including Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and Coleshill, West Midlands. As our Legal Assistant, you will be an experienced AML legal assistant (private practice experience preferred). You will be supporting and assisting the Assistant Legal Counsel with day-to-day duties. You will also be working collaboratively with panel firms and key stakeholders to drive structure, process and best practice.

More about the AML Compliance Assistant role…

  • To provide support to the Assistant Legal Counsel, in day-to-day duties
  • To assess the risk profile of customers and whether there have been any changes
  • Liaise with Regional teams to assist with client due diligence queries and escalations to Group Legal
  • Review company searches and run press searches
  • Support the Assistant Legal Counsel in the administration of general anti-money laundering issues and client due diligence matters
  • Assist members of the AML team with research projects and day-to-day compliance with AML regulatory matters as they arise
  • Support the Assistant Legal Counsel with AML training to the business
  • To undertake general legal duties associated with anti-money laundering compliance
  • To escalate any potential and actual difficulties regarding legal matters to the Assistant Legal Counsel for review and guidance
