JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a talented Allocator to join the Merchandising, Accessories team. In this position you will execute and communicate Allocation strategies for specific product area, to optimise inventory levels and maximise sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A&R:

  • Contribute to the quick establishment of the A&R system into the Allocation function.
  • Leverage A&R through exploration and implementation of new ways of working.
  • Propose enhancements to the A&R system for future implementations.

 

Pre-Season Management:

  • In partnership with Merchandising, produce size profiling by specific Country / store cluster to maximise Sales & Inventory turns.
  • Compile and collate data from multiple sources, to generate standard and ad hoc reporting to aid seasonal buying decisions.

 

In- Season Management:

  • In partnership with Merchandising, drive specific product area of the business to ensure maximisation of sales, inventory & stock turn, at combination level.
  • Produce weekly analysis and capacity reports to identify potential out-of-stocks, size imbalances, and areas of opportunity at combination level, as well as risks and opportunities based on Floorplans and stock flow, ensuring proactive communication with relevant teams.
  • Implement weekly store feedback from specific geographical locations to ensure store requests are prioritized in line with HUB availability, while also leading the creation, analysis, execution, and communication of monthly floorset launches in alignment with the predefined Allocation strategy.
  • Implement the consolidation process to ensure timely removal of instructed product from stores, while also coordinating new store packages in line with Merchant ranging, Floorplans, and store delivery requests.
  • Develop and build strong relationships with key interfaces for product category – Merchants, Planners, Operations, Logistics, Regional Directors and Store Managers.
  • Strive to educate key interfaces about the Allocation function and constantly look for opportunities to enhance current working practices.
  • Establish themselves as the key point of contact for specific product category.
