We’re looking for a Payments Regulatory & Compliance Lead to join our Group Finance team to support the Banking & Payments Operations Manager, ensuring that the Society’s payment systems and services comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

About the Role

As Payments Regulatory & Compliance Lead, you will Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates, produce accurate payment regulatory reporting, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate payment related risks.

You will also:

  • Ensure that the Society’s payment systems and services comply with relevant regulations, including PSD2 and payment scheme regulations.
  • Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in regulatory requirements related to payments to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the completion of regulatory submissions related to payments, ensuring accuracy and timelines (REP018 & REP020, ad hoc Material Incident Reporting).
  • Respond to payment related incidents and coordinate with relevant departments to implement corrective action.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable payment regulati
    on.

What You’ll Bring

  • Detailed knowledge of PSD2, including requirements for payment service providers, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), and open banking regulations
  • Understanding of PCI DSS requirements for protecting cardholder data and ensuring secure processing, transmission, and storage of payment information
  • High level of accuracy in reviewing payment processes, regulatory documents, and compliance reports to ensure adherence to regulation
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements within a business context
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a regulatory or compliance role within the payments or financial services industry, with a focus on UK payment schemes and     a strong understanding of relevant policies and regulation
  • Attained a professional payment qualification e.g., Certificate in Principles of Payments (CertPAY)
