We are looking for a Business Support Officer (Admin and Technical Support Officer) to join our Support team in Public Realm.

About the role


This is predominantly a support role for the Public Realm Officer and Operational Teams, providing high level business support to ensure that high quality services are provided to the community.

In this varied and busy role, you will be supporting the team with:

  • coordinating and updating routine schedules

  • updating our website

  • keeping accurate records of training, uniform and PPE

  • monitoring hire of land and events

  • coordinating volunteer schemes

  • completing requisitions via the finance system

  • general business support duties.

About you

We are looking for a flexible team player who is able to multi-task and work at pace. Attention to detail will be key and there is a need for experience in using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience of working with spreadsheets and stock control would be an advantage. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

A regular presence at our depots (Stowmarket and Sudbury) is a key requirement for this support role, therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle is important.
