​The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (NMPC) is based in the heart of central and south London. It includes the Cicely Saunders Institute for Palliative Care, Policy & Rehabilitation, the premier Institute for Palliative Care, bringing together clinical, research and education teams.
 
​Our applied clinical and health multidisciplinary research transforms therapies, the healthcare experience and outcomes for patients and those important to them, wherever they are cared for. Our award-winning NMPC education programmes span pre-registration nursing and midwifery, and multidisciplinary post-graduate taught and research programmes.

About the role

This is an outstanding development opportunity for a talented individual who wishes to advance excellent and innovative education. We are seeking an individual to contribute and deliver the Independent and Supplementary Prescribing for Healthcare Professionals module. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with our Health Faculties to deliver joint education and lead innovations in prescribing education.
 
Prescribing is integral to the established and highly evaluated MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme. The programme supports nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to progress to senior practitioner level and beyond by providing a flexible and accessible framework from which they acquire and demonstrate 21st century transferable knowledge and competence.
 
The focus of the role is to deliver outstanding education on the Independent and Supplementary Prescribing for Healthcare Professionals module and to support innovative education for pre-registration programmes related to prescribing practice. The role also involves ensuring that all education practices are compliant with NMC and HCPC standards.
 
This is a part-time post (21 hours per week), and you will be offered on an indefinite contract. We would also consider those who are interested in a secondment.
 
Hybrid – minimum of 2 days on campus (Waterloo)
