About the role
Reckitt is on the lookout for an experienced Buyer who will take charge of our factory procurement with precision and passion. In this strategic role, you'll be the cornerstone of shaping cost-effective sourcing strategies and nurturing supplier relationships that are as robust as our products. Your responsibilities
Consolidate the spend and manage the spend category holistically, each with a vision and a playbook to co-author with the business partners.Â
Work closely with business partners and Procurement leadership in understanding needs, objectives and priorities to optimise total cost, NWC, quality and service.Â
Use standard category management tools to organise and structure knowledge, develop objectives and measure against agreed KPIs. Â
Design and iImplement sourcing strategies for identified sub-sections of the Category in order to achieve optimal supply base that will generate competitive advantage. Â
Identifying, selecting and developing suppliers, negotiating and contracting. Makes sure that the Reckitt business is fully leveraged with its Global scope.Â
Report in a timely manner on activities within the subsection of the Category and escalate to the right forum to gain support. Â
Identify risks and opportunities involved in each sourcing process. Drive the organisation to mitigate identified risks using state of the art techniques. Push the organisation to move towards opportunities adopting creative solutions.Â
Identify, gain support for, and drive quality and service improvement strategies. .Â
Support in the Preparation of assumptions to support business budgeting, where applicable. Support in the over-delivery against those assumptions. Â
Follow marketing trends and innovation space and scout for insights.Â
Build and maintain a strong relationship with suppliers in scope. Motivate suppliers to treat company as a preferred customer. Â
Build appropriate templates and utilise various metrics to provide better insight into the subsection of the category. Leverage appropriate external sources to strengthen the viewpoint and problem solve situations.Â
Embed DEI and sustainability goals into the roadmap for the category sub-section.

Balancing a heavy workload with multiple prioritiesÂ

Qualifications and Professional ExperienceÂ
Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field such as marketing, finance, business or procurement / supply chain managementÂ
Minimum 2 years' work experience  Â
Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressureÂ
Experience with leading cross-functional, sourcing projectsÂ
Experience in negotiation techniques with good interpersonal and relationship building skillsÂ
Strong ability to understand, analyse and present data to support a proposed recommendation is essential to this roleÂ
High degree of fluency in English is required for negotiation and internal communicationsÂ
Communicates in a very clear and structured way verbally and in writingÂ
Experienced with balancing long term relationships with shorter term initiativesÂ
