£12.60 an hour, Monday – Friday occasional weekend work, closed Christmas and bank holidays. Great public transport links and onsite parking. Experience preferred but not essential. Flexible shift pattern available.

Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Hospitality Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. This Monday to Friday role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organisation’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and memorable experiences.
- Collect, set up, and deliver food service, hospitality room, and conference services as required
- Clean and polish cutlery, glassware, and crockery for upcoming events
- Prepare and present food and beverage requests for customers, clients, and guests in designated meeting spaces
- Work independently and take initiative over duties and tasks without constant supervision
- Serve guests with a genuine and positive demeanour, ensuring efficient and high-quality service
- Operate licensed bars and serve alcoholic beverages when required
- Use coffee machines to prepare hot beverages
- Assist with ordering and managing deliveries as needed
- Ensure all hospitality requirements are prepared and available, reporting any shortages to the line manager
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications
- Excellent product knowledge of food and beverages
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Supportive team player with a collaborative attitude
- Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional customer care skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Experience in the hospitality or food service industry
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays/equipment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs
