Key Account Manager – Nottingham
We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Account Management team. This is a pivotal role focused on managing and growing relationships with Enva’s key clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service, contract performance, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, acting as the main point of contact for client needs and strategic direction.
- Lead and support a team of Regional Account Managers to deliver excellent communication, service, and continuous improvement.
- Regularly meet with clients to review performance, discuss objectives, and drive partnership-based improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, HSEQ, finance, and IT) to ensure service delivery meets contractual commitments.
- Identify opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell Enva services, driving growth through total waste management and resource recovery solutions.
- Advise clients on best practices aligned with waste hierarchy and circular economy principles.
- Prepare and maintain client reports, performance data, and trading agreements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and company policy.
- Support credit control and finance teams by resolving account queries and managing aged debt.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Support the development and execution of an annual business plan for each key account, including clear revenue and performance objectives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
- Proven experience in account management or client relationship management, ideally in waste management, logistics, or a related sector.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing ability.
- Ability to analyse data, produce reports, and identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborative and organised, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Experience managing national or multi-site contracts.
- Knowledge of waste management legislation and environmental compliance.
- Leadership experience managing a small team.
