We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic General Assistants to join our fantastic, busy catering team at IWM North on a flexible, casual basis. As a General Assistant, you will be part of a hard-working, friendly group who all have the same goal – to deliver exceptional customer service to our visitors. Known as one of the UK’s leading museums, IWM North is a striking, modern venue that hosts a variety of exhibitions and events, and offers a unique and welcoming environment for visitors of all ages.
Successful General Assistants are responsible for a variety of tasks, including providing a friendly and welcoming service to all visitors, assisting with the preparation and service of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, handling cash, and supporting stock control processes. For events, General Assistants are expected to welcome and assist all guests, set up and clear down event spaces efficiently, and serve food and beverages as required.

Shifts
Shifts will vary between Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the business, successful candidates should be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends. This is a casual zero-hours role, so hours will vary depending on the needs of the business, on a weekly basis.

- Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health and safety at all times
- Ideally will have experience working as a Barista, but not essential
