Job overview
The post holder will work as part of the team, and to provide an effective and efficient receptionist and administrative support service to the ward.
Internally the post holder will develop effective working relationships with Maple ward Multidisciplinary Team, Maple ward Management Team, Site Management, ASPH support services
Externally this include, Patient, Family members/ Carers and Transport
Main duties of the job
• – Answer telephone and co-ordinate messages, initiating action accordingly.
- Receive visitors to the ward and ensure that they are directed to the appropriate areas and that relevant personnel are informed of their arrival.
- Assist with patients’ property checks, receipts of property and safe storage as necessary.
- Assist the ward sister/charge nurse in the monitoring of furniture, fittings and equipment.
Process requisitions for repair as necessary. Assist with monitoring of the physical environment and tidiness of the ward, keeping the ward sister/charge nurse or their deputies informed and take appropriate actions as required. Maintain/assist with ordering of food and other supplies.
Always act in a professional manner to uphold good standards of conduct. To support the ward and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work.
