Overview
At IRIS Software Group, we simplify the complex for schools, businesses and organisations across the UK. Now, we’re on the lookout for a proactive and technically minded Product Owner to lead and optimise the internal platforms supporting our Education Managed Services team covering Payroll, HR and Pensions.
This is a hands on, delivery focused role where you’ll shape tools like the Pension Hub, Payroll Hub, ePaysafe, and Document Management System. You’ll translate operational needs into scalable product solutions that increase efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Own and enhance critical internal platforms used across our education services

Act as subject matter expert on payroll & pensions, translating user needs into Jira stories

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver sprint goals on time

Drive automation initiatives and support legacy-to-modern system transitions

Troubleshoot operational issues (e.g. data errors, XMLs, audit logs)

Lead process improvement, documentation, and deployment QA
What You’ll Bring:

Product ownership experience in Payroll/HR/Pensions environments

Strong knowledge of Staffology, Payrite, Flexipay, LGPS/TPS schemes desirable

Comfortable working in Agile, with Jira and sprint planning

Hands-on with Excel VBA (essential) and ideally Power Automate

Stakeholder-savvy and naturally collaborative

Experience with internal tools and service efficiency optimisation
