Why this job matters
The account manager will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships creating new growth and expansion within existing accounts whilst identifying and securing new opportunities outside of our current customer base. They will need to create innovative go-to-market strategies, developing unique solutions to meet the needs of the market whilst nurturing and fostering relationships with customers, partners, stakeholders to establish the foundations for long term success.
Continuous learning is essential, staying updated with customer trends, new technologies and best practices to remain relevant in the market.
What you’ll be doing
• To meet and exceed annual metrics for financial performance and customer satisfaction.
• Accountable for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through existing accounts, which leads to growth and expansion outside of existing BT Wholesale relationships.
• Developing and implementing strategic plans that are flexible and responsive to changes in business landscapes.
• Effective networking, deal-closing, and after-sales management.
• Supply accurate and timely sales forecasts using SalesForce, including contact management & accuracy.
• Building creative approaches to drive key deals, addressing and overcoming challenges
• Promote the full Wholesale, and the wider BT product and capability portfolio.
• Works cross-functionally across the organisation to leverage subject matter expertise and other stakeholders’ help to drive opportunities to close.

Flexible working
BT have moved to a hybrid working model – you can work from home 2 days per week. This means you’ll be at your contractual location 3 days a week.
