About the role
The Portfolio & Change Manager for the Marketing Function is responsible for overseeing the strategic alignment, prioritization, and delivery of marketing initiatives across the organization. This role ensures that marketing projects and programs are effectively governed, resourced, and tracked to deliver business value. A key component of the role is leading change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of marketing transformation initiatives.

You understand how the business operates, how large projects and programmes are run, and what it feels like to be on the delivery end.

Key Responsibilities include:
Portfolio Governance & Strategy
- Develop and maintain the marketing project portfolio roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and develop internal workstream governance
- Facilitate portfolio governance forums and ensure effective prioritization and decision-making.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with strategic goals.

Project Oversight & Delivery
- Monitor progress, risks, interdependencies and key mitigating actions across the marketing portfolio.
- Escalate key risks or interdependencies when necessary
- Ensure consistent project management standards and methodologies are applied.

Change Management
- Lead development of change management plan for op-model related projects.
- Proactively and effectively manage the change management deliverables within the change plan and the deployment plan.
- Identify, implement, track and report on business readiness activities through leadership and change management governance forums.
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans, change impact assessments, communication and training plans.
- Track and report on training status to local leadership.
- Create, own and track effectiveness of the communication plan. Develop and coordinate delivery of local communications artefacts and campaigns.
- Ensure the change is measured and sustained.

Financial & Resource Management
- Track portfolio budgets, forecasts, actuals and benefits realisation ensuring financial discipline.

Performance & Reporting
- Provide visibility to all stakeholders on workstream progress (PMO, workstream leads, area leads)
- Prepare for and lead workstreamÂ
- Define and track KPIs to measure portfolio health, marketing impact, and change adoption.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across marketing, commercial, digital, and transformation teams.
- Coordinate projects and project leads within function
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on portfolio performance and strategic trade-offs.
The experience we're looking for
- Excellent communicator, confident presenting or pitching to a senior audience
- Comfortable influencing and negotiating in a collaborative manner with various stakeholders, to seek mutual agreement
- Able to position yourself as a consultant, facilitator and co-ordinator, able to guide and challenge others without delivering programmes yourself
- Experienced in navigating from big picture to detail on a regular basis, able to build strategic plans and see abstract interconnections, while still being comfortable to dive into detail where required
- Excellent project management, people and organisational skills
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, able to distill complex information into digestible insights
- Can build credibility quickly, with multiple internal partners at all levels of the business
- A natural relationship-builder, with great coaching skills, able to adapt your style for different audiences
