Overview
- Data insights – lead the Automated Monitoring & Targeting (AM&T) roadmap across the group including metering, data acquisition and energy monitoring systems
- Big Projects – co-ordinate energy resource plans to deliver step change projects (e.g Solar) across the group
- Behaviours & Culture Change – supporting the adoption of energy conversation across the group providing the necessary communication, leadership and direction to ensure that colleagues are kept engaged, focused, developed and delivering their potential
- Lead the alignment and integration of the group energy roadmap across multiple sites and at site level, collaborating with other functional leads
- Lead the implementation and the close-out of ESOS 3 (20203) actions, ensuring all benefits are tracked
- External networking – provide insight to the latest technology developments in energy efficient plant/equipment
- Identify, prioritise and create capex proposals to maintain and develop the site infrastructure in line with Business Team/Group strategic objectives
- Hold a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental management science or similar
- Be a Member of a recognised professional body – EI / IET/IMechE / Energy Institute
- Substantial utilities and systems-optimisation experience across water, waste and energy
- Have familiarity with Energy Management Systems and other site performance monitoring systems to aggregate multiple data[1]sources
- Familiarity with Environmental / Energy Management Systems, ideally ISO140001 and ISO 50001
- Experience in Environmental and Energy reporting, legislation and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with energy technologies
- Ability to drive and manage change process
- Have demonstrable experience of the value of (smart) metering and cloud-based technologies as the basis for performance improvements, both direct (e.g. energy savings) and indirect (e.g. improvement maintenance, reduced downtime, increased production quality & yield)
- Possess strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Have a secure knowledge of environmental issues relevant to air emissions, water, wastewater, waste, hazardous chemicals
- Proven track record of operating at a group management level within a food manufacturing environment/high care environment/other appropriate manufacturing environment
