Job Summary
Working for Taylor Wimpey Manufacturing, the role of the Factory Operative is to pick and pack orders on time in full for delivery to customers. You will be responsible for checking goods in and those for despatch, booking goods in and loading and unloading vehicles.
Primary Responsibilities
- Picking and packing/wrapping of orders for despatchÂ
- This role involves picking building materials so is a very physical manual handling operation.Â
- Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate MHE.Â
- Receiving, checking and accurately booking goods in. Â
- Put away stock in correct locations from goods in and replenishment of stock.Â
- Carry out stock takes and report discrepancies, assist in investigations for stock gains or losses.Â
- Auditing of picked/wrapped loads.Â
- Be aware of, and work within TW Manufacturing health and safety guidelines at all times.Â
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained.Â
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
- Experience of working within a warhouse environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Literacy and Numeracy skills
- Previous experience of driving MHE (Sideloader, Reacj truick etc)
- Experience in the use of basic microsft packages (Excel, Word etc) and WMS.
