As a Driver, you will play a key role in enhancing the lives of the individuals we support by providing safe,
reliable, and person-centred transport. Your responsibilities go beyond driving — you will support people
with mobility, practical needs, and community participation, helping them maintain independence, dignity,
and a fulfilling lifestyle.

Job Responsibilities

Transport and Safety

Safely operate a company vehicle (including cars or accessible vehicles) in accordance with UK road laws and organisational policies. Complete daily vehicle safety checks and promptly report any issues or maintenance needs. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Accurately log journey details, mileage, fuel usage, and any financial transactions made on behalf of individuals.

Support to Individuals 

Assist with mobility, including helping people into and out of vehicles, pushing manual wheelchairs, and walking support. Offer practical assistance during outings, appointments, and recreational or community-based activities. Support individuals with meals, snacks, and hydration when required, always maintaining their dignity and comfort. Provide friendly, reassuring companionship throughout journeys and activities. Help individuals prepare to go out and return safely, including support with belongings and emotional reassurance.

Team Collaboration

Work alongside care colleagues to coordinate transport schedules and ensure timely service. Assist with light domestic tasks or general duties within the service, if required. Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external partners to ensure smooth planning and delivery of support.
