What do we expect from you?

As the Exam Lead you will steer and motivate your team on the floor and be the keystone between the teams and production office. Also, to ensure the teams work together safely and effectively to meet the daily depot activities to achieve a timely rolling stock delivery to the required standards and specifications. Knowledge and some experience will be required for this role.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Provide effective communication between the team(s) and Production office team whilst providing coaching and mentoring to the staff;
  2. Carrying out maintenance and repairs in line with current maintenance plan and grade and those grades below them.
  3. Comply with safety systems and procedures at all times.
  4. Update maintenance records within company systems.
  5. Coordinate and lead team(s) to work effectively on exams and fault-finding activities;
  6. Provide a proactive review of forthcoming work;
  7. Proactively promoting continuous improvement ethos and looking for ways to improve quality and efficiency;
  8. Carry out non-maintenance related activities (e.g. Depot DP, Forklift etc.) as directed by your Team Leader and where competent to do so.
  9. Carry out all other duties up to Exam Lead where trained and competent to do so.
