The King’s Institute for Population Health is a newly created institute hosted in the School of Life Course & Population Sciences, in the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London.

About the role
This is a joint post between King’s College London and King’s Health Partners (KHP). The post holder will be appointed within the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine to work jointly with King’s Health Partners (mostly through the KHP Director of Partnerships and Operations) and with other faculties across King’s College London. The Senior Institute Manager will lead all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the new multidisciplinary university level King’s Population Health Institute and its partnership initiatives with King’s Health Partners (focusing on the strategic priority for population health). They will provide administrative support to achieve impact, strategic growth and sustainability for the Institute and its partnerships.
Working closely with the Institute’s leadership, the post holder will network within and outside the Institute to fulfil its multidisciplinary mission and ensure impact – especially through working with King’s Health Partners. This role is created at an exciting time for the University as its expanding multidisciplinary opportunities. The post holder will manage and deliver a wide range of business operations to support the Institute’s development of research portfolio and strategic education initiatives.
Responsibilities include managing the Institute’s budget, facilitating effective governance by monitoring and advising leadership on progress against KPIs, and leading the provision of management data for internal and external reporting.
The successful applicant will be proactive with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across the University, King’s Health Partners, nationally and internationally, e.g., with the WHO. They will have significant experience in supporting major research initiatives, writing of large, ideally multidisciplinary research projects/programmes, managing financial processes, including budget management, and be highly organised and numerate, with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/07/2026
