As our Network Design Professional (Customer Solutions)  you’ll help to create market leading advantage, developing technology into solutions to the worldwide marketplace and bespoke client requirements to enable new revenue lines through profitable engagement for our Radianz business.

You’ll play a key role in creating growth opportunities through;

  • Solution requirements (client and platform), definition and engineering to aid pre- and post-sales and WNB/Bid support
  • Industry/Solution/Technology consultancy across the Customer journey
  • Undertaking the end-to-end design, solution assurance and governance processes
  • Provide consultancy to the Industry/Solution/Technology across the Customer journey.
  • Undertake the end-to-end design, solution assurance and governance processes.

 

We’ll see you playing an active role in our workshops focusing on Customer specific solutions from our lab in London.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • with business and clients alike to capture requirements from new business, product/solution and engineering opportunities.
  • Creatively align with the business Technology and Product roadmaps, creating innovative inputs and deliverables, relevant and ground-breaking.
  • Develop technology into products and capabilities, creating High- and Low-Level Designs.
  • Create re-use strategies or define new to efficiently drive the C2M and L2C journeys.
  • Vendor/Supplier evaluations from a technology perspective
  • Creating and/or delivering/managing certification plans
  • May directly manage a small team or individual

 

Skills you'll need

 

  • Cisco/security/cloud qualified to a medium/high level, CCIE/CCNP AWS SOLA, RHEL etc
  • Design and Deployment acumen
  • Understanding and proactive use of design engineering principles & processes
  • DevOps activities for deployment/automation
  • Prioritisation of tasks based on business priorities.
  • Self-management across multiple work streams and dependencies
  • Experience of platform OSS/NMS development, API development etc

 

Experience you'll have

 

  • Able to demonstrate a career involved with designing new products, services and technical capabilities or orchestrating significant change to existing ones.
  • Articulation of the business and operational risks involved in new and emerging technology and its adoption into an eco-system.
  • A history of Customer facing engagement at relevant levels

Flexible Working – BT have moved to a hybrid working – you can work from home 2 days per week. This means you’ll be at your contractual location 3 days a week.
