Senior Project Manager
About the Role
Previous experience in effective delivery of complex projects is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, to manage specific workstream within a large business transformation programme, adhering to the LV= Project Management Framework (PMF), ensuring these meet the agreed cost, time and quality constraints.
We support hybrid working, with a regular presence required at either our Bournemouth or Exeter offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Programme Manager with delivery scope and managing to the programme cost model.
- Â Managing specific programme workstreams in line with LV= change processes.
- Ensuring that objectives are delivered in a timely manner and that they meet budget and quality requirements. (This will include defining and planning projects, reporting on progress and advising of any issues or risks, managing risks, and liaising effectively with stakeholders).
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure a smooth delivery.
- Working with several Life (Adviser & Consumer) aggregators to ensure the successful technical integration of new digital quote systems, overseeing this process and dealing with any issues/concerns.
- Working with third party suppliers for integration of an underwriting rules engine.
- Providing information and updates to a range of stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Â
Our ideal candidate will…
- Have strong experience of successfully delivering complex projects, with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
- Competently apply robust project / programme management skills to more complex situations, demonstrating proactive delivery ownership.
- Possess knowledge and experience of various project management approaches and tools including Waterfall, agile and hybrid, and how best to apply these to optimise the project team’s ability to deliver.
- Have gained a relevant project management certification, relevant degree or QBE.
- Possess excellent communication and influencing skills, able to work with stakeholders at all levels within LV= and with key external delivery partners.
- Have strong commercial / business awareness.
- Showcase some leadership or mentoring experience, with the ability to provide coaching/assistance if required.Â
- Have some experience of working in the life insurance sector (desirable).
- Quickly identify key priorities and challenges within existing projects, and work with the team to agree on, and implement solutions.Â
This role is a Band C in the LV= Structure.
