Offshore Materials Supervisor – Haifa, Israel

Summary:
 
Energean Israel is seeking to employ an Offshore Materials Supervisor who will be responsible for managing the logistics and inventory of materials needed for the safe and efficient operation of the FPSO and includes receiving and preparing shipments, conducting stock takings, work with inventory management systems, and handling shipments according to Energean standards and procedures.
 
 
Key Accountabilities:
 
• Form part of company’s offshore materials team along with OMS.
• Assist with various materials and cargo handling operations, including landing containers on deck, handling materials etc.
• Handle tracking, receipting and inventory control of materials and equipment on board FPSO.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and consumption rates.
• Collaborate with onshore procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of necessary materials.
• Plan and coordinate the transportation of materials to and from the FPSO to ensure timely availability.
• Address any issues related to transportation, customs, and logistics.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental standards and other relevant documentation requirements.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols related to the handling, storage, and transportation of materials.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.
• Work closely with other departments including Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Engineering, to understand material requirements.
• Participate in regular meetings to provide updates on material status and address concerns.
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of the materials budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety and operational efficiency.
• Develop and participate in emergency response plans related to materials management.
• Ensure quick and efficient access to critical materials during emergency situations.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the materials management system.
• Implement best practices to optimize inventory control and logistics.
• Provide training and guidance to offshore personnel on materials handling procedures.
• Stay informed about industry advancements and incorporate best practices into daily operations.
 
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply chain management, Business Administration or relevant discipline – advantage
• Forklift driver license – advantage
• At least 2 years of previous experience with materials and/or logistics
• Capable of professionally managing vendors and projects
• Familiarity with materials management practices.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suit
• Experience working offshore – advantage
• SAP and MAXIMO experience – advantage
 
 
Skills:
 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with onshore and offshore teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot and address logistics and materials management challenges effectively.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
• High level English and Hebrew
• Safety oriented with experience working in operational areas with high traffic
• Ability to be resilient, assertive, optimistic, and open to change
