WHO WE ARE

Since the first Jamie Oliver Cookery School opened in 2016, more than 100,000 participants have enjoyed our in-person and online classes suitable for complete beginners to confident cooks.

Alongside our cookery school our Cafe offers baked treats from Hoxton Bakehouse and Dusty Knuckle, coffee from NewGround, plus housemade focaccia sandwiches, vibrant salads and soups. Not to mention a host of delicious snacks and drinks.

We are now recruiting for a host to work closely with the General Manager and be responsible for welcoming guests in the cookery school & cafe, be versed in cookery classes experience and cafe offering, and assist Teaching Chefs with drinks and merchandise sales.

Position

WHAT YOU’RE HERE TO DO

  • You are the host for the Cookery School and Cafe, often the first face our guests will see and will ensure guests have an experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Drive sales and revenue in the School and Cafe, using soft selling and strong knowledge of our offer
  • Active on the floor to ensure our guests have an experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Operational and administrative support, across the Cookery School and Cafe, reacting to the needs of the business.
  • Be versatile in Jamie Oliver Cafe and Cookery School’s offerings and experience, and pass this knowledge to the team and guests.
  • You will understand the importance of, and pride yourself on, keeping the back of house and front of house areas clean and organised.

  • The busiest time of our school is weekends and evenings – the role requires that you work weekend and evening shifts working 48 hours per week
  • The successful candidates will be able to work in Central London and, from time to time, will support at our Jamie Oliver Cookery School based in North London.
