Chemical Engineer – Portlaoise

Enva’s Hazardous Collections division provides a range of expert services to industry and municipalities across Ireland.
 
Our services are designed to minimise downtime and business disruption whilst protecting against health, safety and environmental issues. Tailored to the individual needs of our large customer base and the specifics of the site, we provide clear operating plans and carefully risk assess every project.

Due to continued growth, expanded and new contracts, Enva have an extremely exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Graduate Chemical Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, simulation, and optimization of chemical processes.
  • Support plant operations through data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in commissioning, startup, and testing of new equipment or processes.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and pilot plant tests to validate process changes or new concepts.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for processes and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and company standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, technologies, and innovations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical, analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and process simulation software.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
