We’re currently recruiting a dedicated kitchen porter / logistics porter  to help ensure the smooth running of operations at Restaurant Associates on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

The kitchen porter / logistics porter  assists with the smooth operation of the hospitality department and is responsible for day-to-day moving of furniture, equipment, and other necessary items to set up meeting and event rooms to required standards and business needs. The Logistics Porter will also support the kitchen team with receiving, moving and storage of stock, washing of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and other basic kitchen duties.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing conference and meeting rooms to required standards and business needs according to the room setup required for the event. 
  • Check all meeting rooms are set up correctly according to the agreed specification listed on your check sheets. Complete all meeting room check sheets. 
  • Move furniture and equipment as and when required and directed, if needed with assistance 
  • Undertake basic kitchen duties as and when needed. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding working areas. 
  • Ensure all pots, pans, utensils and crockery are cleaned to the highest levels. 
  • Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment. 
  • Assist as and when required with the loading or unloading of deliveries & supply vehicles
